US soldiers 'desecrated Taliban bodies'
James Sturcke and agenciesThursday October 20, 2005Senior US military officials launched an investigation today into claims that US soldiers desecrated the bodies of Taliban fighters in Afghanistan as part of a propaganda campaign.Australian investigative news programme Dateline broadcast a film which appeared to show US soldiers burning the bodies of two fighters and using their charred and smoking corpses as a taunt to nearby Islamic militants. The programme, which aired last night, depicted what was described as a US psychological operations team broadcasting over a loudspeaker toward a village thought to be harbouring Taliban fighters and sympathisers.According to a
transcript of the program, the soldiers faced the bodies towards Mecca in a deliberately provocative move and set them on fire. One said: "Wow, look at the blood coming out of the mouth on that one, fucking straight death metal."A message was then broadcast over a loudspeaker in the local dialect which, according to the freelance cameraman, Stephen Dupont, embedded with the 173rd Airborne Brigade, said: "Attention, Taliban, you are all cowardly dogs. You allowed your fighters to be laid down facing west and burned. You are too scared to come down and retrieve their bodies. This just proves you are the lady boys we always believed you to be."The cremation of bodies is not part of Islamic tradition, which calls for remains to be washed, prayed over, wrapped in white cloth and buried within 24 hours. Mr Dupont said the burnings happened on October 1 outside the southern village of Gonbaz, near the former Taliban stronghold of Kandahar."This alleged action is repugnant to our common values," Major General Jason Kamiya said in a statement from the US base in Bagram, Afghanistan. "This command takes all allegations of misconduct or inappropriate behaviour seriously and has directed an investigation into circumstances surrounding this allegation."Afghanistan's government demanded that those responsible be punished and senior Islamic clerics warned that anti-US demonstrations were likely to break out."This is against Islam. Afghans will be shocked by this news. It is so humiliating," said Faiz Mohammed, a Muslim leader. "There are very, very dangerous consequences from this. People will be very angry."The US military said its army criminal investigation division had opened an investigation into alleged misconduct that included "the burning of dead enemy combatant bodies under inappropriate circumstances".General Mohammed Zahir Azimi, a spokesman for the Afghan defence ministry, said those responsible must be punished. The footage did not show the messages being broadcast, though it did show some military vehicles fitted with loudspeakers and playing loud music.Mr Dupont said the soldiers who burned the bodies said they did so for hygiene reasons. However, Mr Dupont said the incendiary messages later broadcast by the US army psychological operations unit indicated they were aware that the cremation would be perceived as a desecration."They used that as a psychological warfare, I guess you'd call it. They used the fact that the Taliban were burned facing west [toward Mecca]," he told SBS. "They deliberately wanted to incite that much anger from the Taliban so the Taliban could attack them ... That's the only way they can find them."The SBS report suggested the deliberate burning of bodies could violate the Geneva conventions governing the treatment of enemy remains in wartime. Under the conventions, soldiers must ensure that the "dead are honourably interred, if possible according to the rites of the religion to which they belonged".The rules also state that bodies should not be cremated "except for imperative reasons of hygiene or for motives based on the religion of the deceased".

Now... it seems people still do not undersatnd the concept of keeping a promise. Even if you are busy it doesn't hurt to just give a call later in the day. Also, what is up with people having cell phones they don't answer. WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT OF ONE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ANSWER. I love you guys to death and all, but a friend can only take so much! I mean seriously people! I believe that is all I have to rant about... pretty good huh?

When someone makes a promise, it is expected that he keeps it. However it would appear that men are incapable of that. All that is intended is one last chance but in the end you are just disappointed. Everytime I hear a girl is being considerate and giving this guy a chance, the guy ends up ruining it. Is that that difficult ot understand that we are trying to give you another chance. And if it is because you don't want that chance then please say so. Girls are a little bit more emotional than you are, therefore if you were not serious to begin with. PLEASE just state it. It is deadly to play with the emotions of a girl. You never know what could happen to you. It would not be pretty most likely.

Disappointments make you want to go out and Hurt someone.

I had cancelled going to a party because I found out a close friend of mine is coming to visit me. He is much more important to me than any party. I spent most of the day looking forward to the visit. Then I get a call from him, thinking he has already gotten to campus. However, it is him telling me he could not come. That is fine, I figured he had things that kept him busy. Seems like something always is. Whatever.
What really pissed me off is his inability to talk with me about the things he had to deal with. I had always dumped things onto him and I wanted him to feel free to do the same with me. Instead I was left without much explanation. Even the amount I got did not include me ever helping him. I understand that people have their own separate life but I felt that I should have been viewed as an adult as well! Therefore I'm ranting now to say... DAMN YOU!

I went trick or treating with Jesus and he will DAMN YOU! And you is directed toward all those people outside who thinks they have to keep everything inside. If someone confesses a lot to you... return the favor. Then they will not feel like a little baby. I'm not a little girl.

Ok....
I have this friend... who is generally ok... until she starts dissing Batty. She dared to say that he was 2 hairline fracture away from snapping. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!
He might not be the most obvious good character character, but he gets better. That is what Robin II showed Nightwing. Batman learns humanity and that is why he is amazing. HE IS NOT UNSTABLE! Just passionate, which is not a bad thing!

Men are horrible creations :(
No not men, just guys. Their goals in life is just to ruin life for us innocent girls it seem. I cannot seem to find a single guy who seem to be considerate toward girls.

Those that are considerate, I soon find out are actual men. Bad boys cannot be reformed. Girls just realize that now please. Too much love movies if you believe it is possible to reform them. Life is too short to waste on one guy girls. :)
